Our Community Investment Programme
We are committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work and understand we must contribute positively to society by being active in the communities that we are part of.
We operate a leading community investment programme, delivering financial support to a diverse range of community projects near to our renewable developments. Download our brochure to find out more about our approach to investing in communities.
We have supported over 11,000 community projects with grants of £88m since 2008.
We provide funding via four mechanisms - click on the arrows below to find out more:
Local Funds

Local Funds support communities nearest to a renewable asset. We support panels and community trusts made up of community members who fund projects which support local priorities.
Sustainable Development Funds

Sustainable Development Funds support strategic projects in the local authority regions in which we host renewable assets. The funds support projects which deliver transformational social, economic and/or environmental changes.
Scholarship Funds

Scholarship Funds help local students with their student fees and expenses whist creating a pool of well-trained and experienced professionals.
Skills Funds

Skills Funds assist in the provision of learning, training, education and employment initiatives that help build capacity, tackle rural isolation, and increase employment opportunities.
