Seagreen
The £1.8 million Seagreen Community Benefit Fund was established in 2020 to benefit communities located in parts of Angus who have some impact from construction and operation of the project. These communities have been supported by the Community Investment team at SSE Renewables acting on behalf of Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd to deliver the funding.
Over the past few years, local projects in Carnoustie; Tealing; Murroes & Wellbank; Arbroath; Montrose; and Ferryden & Craig have benefited from the Fund, with £250k invested in each area to fund locally supported legacy projects. This funding is now closed to applications.
Each community council area also receives money each year to provide small micro grants to local groups. These can be accessed by contacting the relevant community council listed above, who promote their funds and provide deadlines for funding rounds.
