We're building our first Italian wind farms in Puglia

We are starting construction of the Castel Favorito and Masseria la Cattiva onshore wind projects near Brindisi, Puglia, in the south of Italy, with a total installed capacity of 17.3MW.

Construction will begin in early 2025 and we are targeting completion and reaching commercial operation in 2026.

Siemens Gamesa has been selected to supply and install five SG 3.4-132 MW turbines across the project sites.

"We are delighted to be starting construction on our two wind farms in Puglia. These are strategic projects for SSE Renewables as they are our first to enter construction in Italy.

When complete, these wind farms will play an important role in generating homegrown renewable energy for Italy, helping achieve security of supply and national climate targets"
