We're progressing around 3200MW of future prospects in Japan.

In October 2021, we partnered with Pacifico Energy, one of Japan's largest developers of renewable energy, to form SSE Pacifico.

SSE Pacifico is currently in the process of exploring potential offshore wind sites, engaging with communities and stakeholders including fisheries cooperatives.

The efforts are focussed on a 6GW portfolio of early stage development opportunities in multiple locations including Wakayama Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture. We have also commenced studies toward floating offshore wind energy development in multiple locations.

The SSE Pacifico team collaborate fully and openly with local communities and authorities and aim to provide best-in-class integration of offshore wind farms with the local environment.
