Crowle Agricultural Show in North Lincolnshire has benefited from £3,000 worth of funding thanks to Keadby wind farm’s Community Fund.
The annual country show hosted each year in the village of Crowle, Lincolnshire offers a range of events including trade stands, craft tents, funfair rides and sheepdog demonstration.
Jade Fearon, SSE Liaison Manager, Keadby wind farm, said: “We are delighted that Crowle Agricultural Show has benefited from funding and it’s great to see the benefits of the wind farm continuing to flow into the local community.
“With a total commitment of £8.5m over the lifetime of the development, the funds are likely to have a real impact in the local area.”
SSE acquired the Keadby wind farm project in North Lincolnshire in May 2011.
The last of the 34 turbines at the Keadby Wind Farm site has been installed, marking a major milestone for the project, which is the largest onshore wind farm in England.
