Stronelairg and Dunmaglass Wind Farm Scholarship Fund opens for STEM Students for the first time

  • The scholarship fund supports students undertaking courses focussed on science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) courses.
  • The programme will be open to students that live in Fort Augustus and south Inverness-shire regions.
  • Six scholarships of £5,000 each will be awarded every year for three years to different students.

A new Scholarship Fund as part of Stronelairg Wind Farm Ltd and Dunmaglass Wind Farm Ltd is now open for applications to support young people into university from regions in south Inverness-shire and Fort Augustus.

The new scholarship programme has been created to help local students with their expenses while creating a pool of well-trained and experienced professionals, transforming career prospects and positively impacting future generations.

Six scholarships of £5,000 each will be awarded every for the next three years to different students who are undertaking science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) courses in further education. The funds will support students with tuition fees at a key stage in their educations.

Stronelairg Wind Farm Ltd and Dunmaglass Wind Farm Ltd is a partnership between SSE Renewables (51.1%) and Greencoat UK Wind Plc (49.9%).
