Curragh Wind Farm
Located between Ballyvourney and Millstreet in north County Cork, the eight turbine Curragh Wind Farm has an installed capacity of 18.4MW. The wind farm became fully operational in 2009.
Curragh Wind Farm can power over 12,000 homes^ and help abate almost 15,000 tonnes of harmful carbon dioxide* per annum.
The Curragh Community Fund launched in 2010 and is presented annually alongside the community fund for the nearby Coomacheo wind farm. So far almost €1.3 million has been presented to groups around the wind farms.

Through our Coomacheo and Curragh Wind Farms in North Cork we make over €100,000 per year available for local projects promoting energy efficiency and social sustainability through our Community Fund programme.
