The Coire Glas pumped hydro project is located on the shores of Loch Lochy in the Scottish Highlands, between Fort William and Inverness and has a potential capacity of up to 1500MW

Ferrybridge is a legacy SSE coal power station which was closed in 2016. SSE Renewables are developing a 150MW / 300MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) site on the land in West Yorkshire.

Located on the site of a former SSE owned coal power station, we have a 150MW / 300MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project under development in the Fiddler's Ferry near Warrington, Cheshire.

This 31MW solar farm project in Evesham, Worcestershire is our first solar project and is in construction. The 77-acre site, which SSE Renewables acquired from Stark in December 2021, will be capable of powering 10,000 homes when fully operational.

Our first battery storage project in Salisbury, Wiltshire, is operational. The 50MW / 100MWH battery energy storage system (BESS) project was developed in conjunction with Wartsila and construction began in December 2022.

The Monk Fryston BESS project (320MW / 640MWh) is due to go into construction. It is located outside the North Yorkshire village of Monk Fryston.

The Bypass Solar project is about to go in to construction, located to the south of the village of Foston in Lincolnshire.

The Staythorpe Battery project is in planning, located to the west of the village of Averham, near Newark.

We are developing two separate but adjacent proposed Solar sites. 'Muskham' is South East of the small village of Knapthorpe near Newark on Trent. The 'Knapthorpe' site sites to the north of the village bordering close to the A616.

The Aberarder Wind Farm project is located in Strathnairn near Inverness, on a natural plateau at an average of 700m above sea level. It will sit directly adjacent to the operational 94MW Dunmaglass Wind Farm.

Daines is a proposed battery energy storage system (BESS) situated in Carrington, Greater Manchester. SSE Renewables is currently assessing the potential for the development of the site.
