Tarbert Battery Storage Project
Through the Tarbert BESS, we are seeking to deploy at least 100MW | 200MWh of battery storage at the site of the old Tarbert Power Station in North Kerry.
It is also the location of SSE Thermal’s Temporary Emergency Generation and the proposed Tarbert Next Generation Power Station.
This project is strategically important as it can assist in stabilising the electricity network and maximising renewable energy output.
